- Be at least 14 ½ years old
- Have access to the Internet
- Complete the online registration form on the next page
- Register with the Colorado State DMV to obtain a Pre-Registration/Confirmation Number (instructions below)
- Pay the registration fee, which includes all required instructional materials and must be paid before course activation
* On the online registration form, students must provide an email address that will not block messages, such as a .com or .net domain. This feature can be added or removed on the Registration Page during enrollment.If a Student and/or Parent bundles this service with a physical driving school and remits payment directly to the driving school, the amount charged is determined solely by the driving school. The Course Provider has no control over, and assumes no responsibility or liability for, any amounts charged by the driving school. Any disputes regarding fees, refunds, or services are solely between the Student/Parent and the driving school, and the Course Provider is released from all claims or liability arising from such transactions.TIME REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Course Time: 30 hours of state-mandated content. 30 hours is the minimum Course Time requirement; there is no maximum.
- 180 Days (6 Months) to Complete: All coursework, including the Final Exam, must be completed within 180 days (6 months) from the date you begin.
- If the course is not completed within this timeframe, you will be required to restart the course, and a reinstatement fee will apply.
COURSE TIMERS
- Login Time: Tracks the total time you are logged into your account. This time is for informational purposes only and does not count toward the required course hours.
- Course Time: Tracks time actively completing the course content (reading, watching videos, or taking Quizzes/Tests). Only Course Time counts toward the required 30 hours of Online Driver Education. Logging in without completing coursework will not increase your Course Time.
- Idle Time: If there is 15 minutes of inactivity, you will be logged out. Idle time does not count toward your Course Time.

ELIGIBILITY TO TAKE THE FINAL EXAMTo take the Final Exam, you must:
- Read every page of the online textbook and complete all Modules in order
- Achieve a minimum passing grade of 80% on all Quizzes/Tests before moving to the next Module
- Have a minimum Course Time of at least 30 hours
If you haven’t reached 30 hours of Course Time by the time you get to the Final Exam, you’ll need to review the course material until you reach the required hours.
1. Click the book icon at the top of your student portal.
2. Select a Module and the pages you want to review.
3. You can re-read pages, revisit modules, and re-watch videos to accumulate the remaining time.
Reminder about Course Time: Simply being logged in does not count toward your Course Time. Time is only tracked when you are actively participating, such as reading pages or watching videos. Even if you’ve completed all Modules, the Final Exam will stay locked until you meet the 30-hour Course Time requirement.
GRADING AND FINAL EXAMINATION
- Students may not receive credit or certification unless they score 80% or higher on each Quiz/Test.
- The Final Exam consists of 100 randomly drawn questions.
COURSE COMPLETION AND CERTIFICATION POLICYThe Driving School is prohibited from issuing a Certificate of Completion if the student has not met all the requirements for course completion, and a student shall not accept a certificate under such circumstances. The Completion Certificate is sent by email once all of the requirements have been met.Completion Certificates are verified and issued by a person – they are not automated. In accordance with state policy, your Completion Certificate will be issued within two (2) business days after course completion. If you have not received your certificate after the two-business-day processing period, you may contact the driving school to follow up. Important: Please allow the full two-business-day processing period before contacting the driving school.*Before the Completion Certificate is issued, you will also receive a separate email from us, notifying you that you have met the course requirements and that the course is now completed.PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
- Course payments are made to Costech Technologies or Costech USA, and receipts will appear under one of these names.
- Payments can only be made by Credit Card, not Debit Card.
- Once payment is received, the Student and Parent will be notified via email.
- Students may request a refund within 7 days of registration. A full refund minus a $10 administrative fee will be issued for timely cancellations.
- Refunds are available only if the course has not been substantially accessed or completed.
- The Course Provider may terminate enrollment or charge a reinstatement fee if the course is not completed within 180 days or if any policy violations occur.
- All registration fees are fully refundable if the course is discontinued by the Course Provider, preventing a student from completing the course, or the enrollment of the student was procured as a result of any misrepresentation in advertising, promotional materials, or representation made by the owner or employee(s) of the Course Provider.
- All fees, including but not limited to course, registration, audio, and reinstatement fees, are subject to change at any time without notice.
In the event a Student and/or Parent remits payment directly to the driving school, any requests for refunds must be directed to that driving school. The driving school’s refund policies are determined solely at its discretion, and the Course Provider has no control over, and assumes no responsibility or liability for, such policies or any related transactions.CIRCUMVENTION WARNINGThe student must personally complete all 10 Modules, Quizzes, Tests, and the Final Exam. Any attempt to cheat, provide false information, or allow another person to complete the course constitutes a violation. Violators will be removed from the course without a refund.COURSE ACCESS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTSThe course is available to students 24/7, but access may be affected by factors such as internet service, computer performance, firewall settings, or browser configuration, which are outside the Course Provider’s control. Customer and Technical Support are available to assist with troubleshooting.To complete the course, students must meet the minimum hardware and software requirements: • Google Chrome is recommended for the best experience; other modern browsers may work, but are not guaranteed. • A computer with a mouse/pointing device and speakers • Hardware capable of supporting the course softwareREPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIESThe student confirms that all registration and user information provided is true and accurate. Any willful or intentional misrepresentation constitutes a breach of this agreement and may result in removal from the course and liability for any direct damages incurred by the Course Provider.LIMITATION OF LIABILITYIn no event shall the Course Provider, its administrators, instructors, or employees be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of the course, even if the possibility of such damages was known. The liability of the Course Provider for any claim under this agreement shall be limited to the amount of the registration fee paid by the student or parent.PRIVACY STATEMENT AND SECURITYThe Course Provider collects certain personal information through the website and online course for the purposes of course administration, student verification, and the provision of course-related services. Such information is encrypted and will not be sold or used to promote unrelated products or services.Access to personal information is restricted to authorized Administrators and Instructors for legitimate purposes only, including updating student records, monitoring progress, and issuing Completion Certificates.During online registration, students must select and answer Security Questions. Write down your questions and answers, as they are required for account verification and certain account actions.You will have 60 seconds to answer your Security Question correctly. If you do not answer the question correctly the first time, you will have one additional opportunity to answer it. If the second question is answered incorrectly, you will be locked out of the course for 24 hours. After 24 hours, your account will be automatically unlocked. To request an earlier unlock, email support@costech.com. Please add the student's name or Student ID in the email subject line.
TERMS & CONDITIONS ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND BINDING AGREEMENT
I understand that all communication with the Driving School and/or Course Provider’s administrators, instructors, and support personnel must remain respectful and free of abusive, inappropriate, or offensive language. Any use of such language may result in suspension or removal from the course without a Certificate of Completion or refund.If the student is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms and Conditions on the student’s behalf.By clicking the “I Agree” button, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by all Terms and Conditions outlined above. This action constitutes a valid and binding electronic acceptance of this agreement.Once accepted, this agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Course Provider and the student and, where applicable, the parent or legal guardian. Any verbal statements or representations not included in this agreement are not legally binding. Costech reserves the right to suspend or remove you (the student) from this course for any violation of the above-mentioned items.
