Of course you are! But, put the brakes on, there are a few important hurdles for you first. However, you're in luck, you do

The following are ways to be issued a learners permit, and when you are eligible; your license.
There are 3 types of learners permits. What is needed for each permit and license are listed below.
If you are:
- Between 15 -15 ½ years old, [Driver Education Permit] you must have completed an approved 30-hour driver education
course. To be issued a license, you must have had your permit for at least 12 months, and completed 6 hours of
Behind-the-wheel (BTW) from a driver education professional, and the 50-hour log (10 hours at night). If you live farther
than 30 miles from a full-time (offering more than 20 hours/week) driver education professional, you can drive 12
additional hours with your 50- hour log.
- Between 15 ½ and 16, [Driver Awareness Permit] you only have to complete an approved 30-hour driver education course
or a 4-hour defensive driving course. To be issued a license, you must have had your permit for at least 12 months and
completed the 50-hour log (including 10 hours at night).
- Over 16, [Minor Instruction Permit] no driver education is required for the permit, however, To be issued a license,
you must have had your permit for 12 months and completed the 50-hour log to be issued a license (including 10 hours at
night).
